KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Kristin Marie Lassen is an agronomist specialised in crop science including tropical pollination and agricultural projects in developing countries. Hence the scientific knowledge of crop production is coupled with the understanding of farmers’ livelihood in developing countries, resulting in a holistic approach to agricultural projects. Her Bachelor thesis was an evaluation of a Gambian-Danish beekeeping project.

Furthermore, Mrs. Lassen has four years of experience within beekeeping projects in Guinea Bissau and The Gambia (both projects were financed by Danida). From these projects she has gained practical experience within project design, project running and project evaluation.

Mrs. Lassen is married to a Gambian beekeeper and has lived 6 month together with his relatives during the time of collecting trial data to her Master thesis. Mrs. Lassen is very good at working in an interdisciplinary and intercultural context. During her studies and at courses she has worked with Logical Framework Approach (LFA).

Finally, Mrs. Lassen has been a beekeeper since 1999 and a skilled beekeeper since 2001 (with authority to issue certificates of transfer for bee colonies).
